Join our dynamic Industrial Division Marketing team as a Marketing Insight Specialist and roll up your sleeves and unleash your creativity! As a pivotal member of our close-knit crew, you'll deliver the industrial Insights program across Buildex, Pryda and Ramset Brands through direct engagement with end users and other customers.

In this role you will also contribute to the Divisional growth objective > 4% from new CBI projects by owning the creation of compelling insights including financial analysis, VP validation and Business Case development gathered from channel customers and end users.

Based at Chirnside Park Victoria

The Impact You’ll Make;

  • Deliver the Discovery phase of the CBI process & manage multiple projects both hands on (onsite engagement, product testing etc.) & via other forums and leveraging cross functional teams to support ie. end user specialist, customers, product management, sales, engineering/technical and operations teams
  • Support the translation of insights and unmet needs into value propositions that enable the creation of differentiated product solutions to meet end user needs and to achieve CBI / differentiation targets
  • Provide regular updates and share recommendations on project Discovery Go/No Go with broader stakeholder groups across sales, marketing & operations teams
  • Manage systems and processes for collecting and storing key market data, including market trends, mapping, segmentation and validation, competitor, customer & deep dive insights
  • Support validation of innovation concepts and prototypes with target segments
  • Support segmentation work and project opportunities that result from findings
  • Actively apply the ITW 80/20 Business Process in all aspects of planning and execution of insight generation and discovery

About you:

  • Tertiary qualified in Marketing, Communications or a related discipline, preferred but not essential
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to build trust and relationships quickly with a variety of stakeholders (internal and external)
  • Analytical skills and ability to interpret data, confident making recommendations and communicating results
  • Demonstrated ability in project planning and delivery
  • Ability to translating end-user needs into product solutions
  • Commercial and trade-focused approach to customer analytics
  • Take ownership of data quality and reporting systems
  • Experience working with big data, analysing market research & sales data
  • It is about fit into a team that works hard and plays hard – sense of humour essential
