Join our dynamic Residential Division Marketing team as a Trade Marketing Manager . This role defends and extends the trade market share via hardware and specialist trade resellers for the Paslode and Stockade business by creating and executing the ANZ trade marketing strategy.


The Trade Marketing Manager will work closely with the Marketing and Communications Manager to support the development and execution of the omnichannel marketing strategy. The role will lead and assist in determining the key elements and activities required to execute the initiatives. By acting as a true business partner, collaborating with internal stakeholders and our key channel partners, you will be responsible for delivering both instore and trade events activations as well as working with the digital specialist on digital activation campaigns.

This hybrid role is located in Moorabbin.

The Impact You’ll Make;

  • Develop and deliver the Trade Marketing Strategic PlanIncorporating retail standards for product placement and merchandising. Work with key trade partners in development of co-marketing programs to support strategic account plans, using commercial insight to support and validate recommendations;
  • Lead Customer and Market Insights - Maintain a regular cycle of key channel partner visitation for each brand across Australia & NZ. Understand category best practice in retail merchandising and bring thought leadership to planning and broader marketing team;
  • Lead trade partner and industry relationship development Attend and actively participate in Key Account reviews. Participate in joint marketing planning with key trade partners and distributors. Develop relationships with key industry bodies and maximise sponsorship opportunities at major trade events;
  • Develop strategy for Promotions, Trade shows/events and merchandise requirements Develop 12–18-month trade and events calendar, ensuring alignment to overall strategic plan and resourcing allocation. Oversee post activity reviews, assessing ROI and performance against investment and targeted KPI’s; and
  • Manage the launch of new product Delivery of new products to market Collaborate with Product Managers and Sales leads to support the trade requirements and go to market planning for all new product entries. Liaise with trade partners in joint planning for new product entries.

To be successful in this position you will have:

  • Relevant Marketing or Business Degree required;
  • 5+ years Channel and Trade Marketing Management experience in B2B & B2C industries;
  • Past experience in construction industry & new product development preferred;
  • Strategist and visionary of the growth and development opportunities;
  • Demonstrated experience in building and leveraging Channel relationships to support category growth;
  • Know how to project manage, collaborate, build & leverage influential relationships within Division, platform & external partners;
  • Natural ‘80/20’ leader: identifies, simplifies & focuses to deliver ‘80s’, does ‘20s’ differently
  • Possess strong technical and analytical skills, have strong attention to detail, and have a proven capacity to effectively identify and track emerging matters or trends;
  • Find passion in the process, and have the curiosity to understand the ‘what’ and ‘why'; and
  • A strong understanding and curiosity of consumers.
