The Impact You’ll Make;
Location: Melbourne, VIC or Sydney, NSW
We are seeking a skilled and driven Structural Engineer to join our dynamic team. This role involves managing and delivering design work or components of design to meet budget, quality, and DIFOT (Delivery in Full on Time) targets. Additionally, the successful candidate will engage in on-the-job learning to attain Chartered Engineer status.
About You;
- Ensure high-quality design solutions are delivered within allocated timeframes and comply with relevant building codes and standards.
- Evaluate customer and partner needs, develop application (design) proposals, and manage project delivery requirements, including technical specifications and design work.
- Liaise with customers, builders, engineers, and other stakeholders as needed.
- Provide regular updates to customers and track performance metrics in line with business strategies.
- Expand and reinforce knowledge in structural design under the mentorship of senior engineers.
- Manage and deliver selected project work and internal technical activities as assigned.
- Conduct structural site inspections and prepare technical reports.
- Qualifications & Requirements;
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil/Structural Engineering, recognised by Engineers Australia or Engineering New Zealand.
- Experience in commercial construction.
Skills & Experience;
- Strong communication and commercial skills, with a proven track record of translating customer problems into commercially viable, simplified engineering solutions.
- Strong influencing and relationship management skills, both internally and externally.
- Commitment to driving a strong safety culture and continuous improvement in safety conditions.
- Ability to prioritise effectively, make strategic decisions, and simplify complex tasks.
